The Enchanted Tree - Week #1

“…and they presented unto him gifts; gold, frankincense and myrrh.”

Can you imagine the thrill of being one of the three Wise Men, called to bear gifts in honor of the birth of Christ?  That was over 2,000 years ago…

Now, it’s YOUR turn!

You’ve probably noticed the leafless and barren tree that is displayed at the front of our Church. This is to signify our lives before the arrival of Christ. With your help, this bare tree will become our Enchanted Tree for Christ.

Next Sunday, everyone in Trinity will be given a brightly decorated envelope in which to place his or her special gift for Christ. All members and friends of our Church are invited to attend the program and place their gifts in the Enchanted Tree envelopes. During the Hymn of the Day, the congregation will be given the opportunity to tie their gifts to the branches of the tree - transforming our bare tree into one that is adorned in brightly colored foliage. Just as the Wise Men gave gifts to honor Christ, so will you be giving gifts that will be used in Christ’s name to help others. Your gifts will be used as the start of our annual Benevolence program.

But, it’s only with your participation that our tree will shine its very brightest. So, please circle next Sunday on your calendars and be present at our 11:15 a.m. Worship Service to add your gift “leaf” to our Enchanted Tree.

Lunch will be served in the Social Hall immediately following the decorating of our Enchanted Tree.

The Enchanted Tree - Week #2

“…and they presented unto him gifts; gold, frankincense and myrrh.”

Can you imagine the thrill of being one of the three Wise Men, called to bear gifts in honor of the birth of Christ?  That was over 2,000 years ago…

Now, it’s YOUR turn!

You’ve probably noticed the leafless and barren tree that is displayed at the front of our Church. This is to signify our lives before the arrival of Christ. With your help, this bare tree will become our Enchanted Tree for Christ.

Today, everyone in Trinity will be given a brightly decorated envelope in which to place his or her special gift for Christ. During the Hymn of the Day, all members and friends are invited to hang their Enchanted Tree envelopes on the branches of the tree - transforming our bare tree into one that is adorned in brightly colored foliage. Just as the Wise Men gave gifts to honor Christ, so will you be giving gifts that will be used in Christ’s name to help others. Your gifts will be used as the start of our annual Benevolence program.

But, it’s only with your participation that our tree will shine its very brightest. Members of the Sunday School will be very happy to take your gift “leaf” and tie it onto our Enchanted Tree...or you may tie it onto the tree yourself, if you desire to do so.

Lunch will be served in the Social Hall  immediately following the decorating of our Enchanted Tree.
